We have for the Oregon 150 at the fairgrounds on Sept 26Th is reserved. We have a center space. We need to get our stuff together pictures, and who is going to be there to talk about the town.

Sherry Roberts from Seven Feathers is doing the graphics for our buttons. We will have the Beard badge, Jail badge and 150 badge. Stephanie and Pam are going to make them when the time comes.

Non-profits can now advertise on the local radio station for free. Contact john@krem.org to place the ad.

The sidewalk project has started. They are currently working on moving the existing underground lines.

Tim Freeman said the 75Th session has now ended for the state representatives. They discussed 1200 bills and increased the budget by 9% from last year. Inflation is currently at a standstill. There is a 21% increase in budget for the state government. DHS is has a 30% increase from last year.

The yard sale is almost here. Javelin has maps at Promise, you can also pick them up at the visitors center and the park on Saturday. They will be serving Blueberry pancakes and eggs from 8-11 and Hot dogs from 11-3. Pam put our over 80 signs and placed public service announcements. Javelin needs electric griddles and skillets for cooking on sat. Zack, Steve, Jake, Joy, Tamara and Judy have volunteered to help. Be there at 6-7am to help.

The South Umpqua School District hat there first board meeting. It was the annual reorganization meeting. Jeff Johnson has retained the chair position and Bob Ankeny is the Vice-chair. One of the topics is returning the middle school to Canyonville. Steve the new Superintendent is working on a lot of projects and everything seems to be moving along.

Saturday evening is the Music for Music benefit in the parking lot of Rays. There will be hot dogs, chips and a drink for $4.00. It will run from 6-8pm.

Nest Tuesday the Pioneer Day Committee has a meeting at Ken's Sidewalk cafe at 12pm.

Javelin needs more entries for the bed races at Pioneer Days.

The Myrtle Creek Elks Lodge has a scholarship dinner. Its $20.00/ person and the scholarship winners will be reading there essays. The Golf tournament is Sunday with a 9am tee off. teams are 4 people.

Friday there is an auction at the casino for Douglas County Youth Development.

Shane Hancock has opened a branch of Pennsylvania Life in South County. The company has been around for 119 years. It focuses on the self employed and families. They also can help with Medicare and Medicare Supplements.

Seven Feathers had a new banner made for Pioneer Days and it should be hung soon.

We received the first power bill for the north sign. We need to look into grants or get some ideas to help cover cost.
