The Chamber is seeking volunteers for their booth at the Rodeo this weekend. If you are available show up @ 11:00 on either Saturday or Sunday.

The Community bulletin board at Ray's will be rebuilt and Penny will be reprinting the ads. Minor changes will be included.

The LED Bulbs have been ordered and we need sponsors for the signs. The cost is $100 per sign and there are 24 signs. The Lions club, Tamara Hoff and the Canyonville Pumpkin and Music Celebration have made a sponsorship.

The Sockets for the power poles are still needing installation. We are waiting for PP&L. We are also waiting for them in regards to the new sign.

Patti Spoke about the Canyonville Pumpkin and Music Celebration. LeRoy Bell will be performing at 4:00 following the awards ceremony. There are still openings for business sponsorship of the contests. Tamara needs help with the food booth. The Carved Pumpkin, Tall Tales and Business Display Contests are still open for sponsorship. The progress of the festival is developing nicely as the News Review, KPIC and Creative Images have all agreed to help. The News Review will be creating a special section in the paper that will reach 47,000 households. There are advertising opportunities in the special section for the Pumpkin Festival. The chamber has collected $75.00 from the community for the music in the park, Javelin will turn it over to Patti.

Commonwealth Garden Shoppe will be hosting a Tomato Tasting event this Saturday from 1:00-3:00, all are invited to attend.

There will be a business workshop on collaborative marketing that we can host if enough people are interested. The cost is $120. We are looking for 12 people to put up $10.00 each to make this happen. If interested contact Joanne at Commonwealth Garden Shoppe.

The 150th Birthday Spaghetti Dinner will be Sept. 27th from 4-8 at the Masonic Lodge.

Bunco will be held Oct 13th at 6:00 at El Paraiso Mexican Restaurant. The buy in is $25.00, with a grand prize of $200.00. Contact Judy for more info.

Brian will be coming around to sell raffle tickets for the gas card. The money will Support the Riddle Philharmonic.

Tim from Canyonville Elementary spoke about all the beautification projects at the school. The landscaping that Seven Feathers donated and the painting of the front by the school district. Ray's will be taking the Pepsi sign. The South Umpqua Schools foundation will be raffling a Picnic Basket that will treat you to a complete picnic outing. The event will be at the Casino convention center on Sept 20th for more info contact Jeff Johnson at Del's Building Supply in Tri City. Tiger cards will be coming out Nov. 2nd. The 6th grade is back at the school.
